Nancy Worsham Lakey, 85, of Linwood passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Pittsylvania County, VA on April 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Mozelle Mayhew Worsham and Harry L. Worsham.
Ms. Lakey was a graduate of Spencer High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and made afghans for the Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church Ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Gray Lakey, who passed away on February 10, 2009; sister, Shirley Edwards; brothers, Harold, Marshall and Thomas Worsham.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Loflin (Doyle) of Thomasville, Donna Snider (Scott) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Angela Louya (Billy) of Lexington, Justin Snider of Salisbury, Lauren Snider of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Cameron Louya and Preston Louya.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 8195 Old Salisbury Rd, Linwood, NC 27299.
Service: 11:00 AM Saturday at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Lindquist, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
