Roby Ivey Linebarger

Roby Ivey Linebarger, 76, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Rowan County on January 6, 1945, he was the son of the late Ruby Smith and Horace Linebarger.

He was a graduate of Gardner Webb University. Retired Southern Baptist Reverend & Founding Minister of Carmel Baptist Church. Roby was a retired contractor of Linebarger Construction Co. Inc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bea Linebarger whom he was married to for 44 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Todd (Jeff) Linebarger of Charlotte, NC, Scott ( Sharon) Linebarger of Salisbury, NC, daughter Debbea (Bob) Teague of Salisbury, NC, brother Johnny (Jo Carole) Linebarger of China Grove, NC, sister Louette (Guy) Honbarrier of Woodleaf, NC grandchildren Matt (Morgan) Linebarger, Adam Linebarger, Taylor Teague, Karley Teague and numerous beloved extended family members.

A Visitation will be held at Stallings Memorial Baptist Church June 1, 2021 at 11:00am,   Funeral service at 12:00 with Rev. Scott Huffman to officiate. Burial to follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell, NC.
