Sonja Anita Smith

Sonja Anita Smith, 72, of Salisbury, NC passed away on May 24, 2019 after a short stay at the Big Elm Rehabilitation and Living Centers in Kannapolis, NC. Born in Jewitt, Illinois on June 22, 1946, she was the daughter of the Willard Jesse Jones and Geneva L.  Standfield (both deceased).

Sonja and her husband had lived many years in Salisbury NC. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with the family members.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Louis Daniel Smith, their son Marc Alan Smith and his wife Molly Ann and her wonderful granddaughters Makenna Maylin and Marisa Morgan all of West Liberty, Ohio.

She will be dearly missed and will forever remain in the hearts of family and friends.

A celebration of Sonja’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 27, 2019 in the dining room at Accordius Healthcare, 635 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
