Steven L. Summers

Steven L. Summers, 69, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks.

Born in San Rafael, CA on September 14, 1951, he was the son of the late Martha Marie Wakefield Summers and Clifford Leslie Summers.

Steven was an Eagle Scout and was very active in Boy Scout Pack 443, where he was a Scout Master. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Cowart Summers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Scott Summers (Elizabeth) of Valdosta, GA; daughter, Stephanie Kafitz (Timothy) of Salisbury; brother, Michael Summers of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Kafitz and Christopher Kafitz.

The service scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church has been cancelled. The committal service scheduled for Saturday, September 19 at the Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville will be rescheduled.
