Lyerly Funeral Home has always been connected with the Carpenter/Miller family and always will be. They took care of my grandmother's services in such a kind and caring way, and even had she not baby sat for "those Lyerly boys" we knew they would've taken the same pains and caring steps they did for her just the same.
I don't know of many (nor any?) funeral homes in this area that also take care of pets the same way they do the human family members. Their literature indicates "caring for ALL family members" - which definitely includes our 4-legged ones. I didn't know they provided those services until my cat Jack passed away a few years ago - someone told me they would do it with the same care they do for human family members, and they were right. They put Jack in the most beautiful wooden carved- with-a-design) box, and I've been so comforted by the care they took and how respectful they were through the whole process. The price for the service was 1/3 that of the last one I'd had done at the vet's. When my last car ("Kitty) passed last year, there was no question that I would take her to them, as well.
Seriously - if you want kind, loving, respectful treatment of your f-legged babies the same as your human ones, take them to Lyerly's. Great service, and done in a timely manner. And you will not feel uncomfortable taking your little loved ones to them - not one bit. Thank you, Lyerly's Funeral Home!)
